Thank you for posting about the nuances of his faith and the ways in which he honored Christ. It is refreshing to read a posthumous article about him which does not use his name in an unfairly critical context to draw attention. I am one of many who can say they became a Christian because of God’s work through Tim!
I was mesmerized reading your tribute of Tim Keller. It reads like a tutorial on how to live a Christ-like life. Thank you for introducing me to Tim’s work. I’ll read his sermons and podcasts for daily inspiration.
Reason for God started the process that brought me from New-Age anti-Christianity to baptized Christian. His sermons built so many bridges for me along the way. Thank you for this touching memory
What a wonderful tribute! Thank you for so beautifully capturing the essence of Tim Keller's remarkable character and profound impact. HIs example serves as an inspiration, reminding us of the transformative influence that can be achieved through a life centered on service, grace, and an unwavering devotion to Christ. Thanks, Scott!
Thanks for this reflection, Scott. I didn't encounter Keller's stuff until college in 2017, and I'm sad that I only had a few short years to read his stuff while he was alive. Such an exemplar of the Christian life.
Scott, although I only knew of Tim distantly, your remembrance of him on this first anniversary inspires me to seek out his writings and to get to know him better. Thank you.
Recently, I have had the privilege of walking with several loved ones who have been wrongly criticized in deeply hurtful ways. Your exquisite explanation gives me greater pause to reflect on how to share solace in the midst of the brokenness. Yes, He can redeem this time and each heart. I hope to use this for a brief study with a group of searchers. Thank you for sensitively presenting this tribute. God bless and increase your energy and your time as you have pored over the life of this faithful servant and shared God ordained gems with each of us.
Beautiful remembrance. Thanks, Scott. I only met Pastor Tim once, in the office at CPC when he visited to speak eleven years ago, and his kindness in those moments struck me as profoundly kind, present, and generous. His books helped shape and reshape my faith. And his thoughts in the Mars Hill CT podcast series (among other forums) reinforced his others-centered and humble focus. Messages in a bottle, indeed.
Tim Keller fought the same cancer as my dear late wife Jeannette...they went through the same clinical trial at NIH. Beside parents, two brothers and Jeannette, Tim is one of the first of the great cloud of witnesses I look forward to seeing when my time comes.
Thanks for marking the anniversary of his homegoing...

The impact he had on your life is clearly a memorial to his. Thank you for sharing this.
Would that more Christians and public intellectuals aspired to TK’s level of character, kindness, and courage. Thank you! 🙏🏻
Thank you , Scott. I need to read this daily-so many lessons to be learned and lived.
Beautiful remembrance of a faithful witness of God’s grace and love.
